In God We Trust
September eleventh,
two thousand and one
Awakened to the
news, on our
country, war had
begun.
Some cowardly
terrorist had hi
jacked our planes
Taken people hostage
they didn't even
know their names.
Terror must of
struck the hearts,
of all those aboard.
I can imagine them
all, crying out unto
the lord.
"God please bless
our country, and all
those who survive.
There are so many
loved ones, that
won't make it out
alive."
We live in a
wonderful land, that
you've blessed
beyond compare.
Our hearts just
burst with pride to
see Old Glory waving
there.
Lord would you bring
to justice, all
those that caused
this plight,
As we go into
battle, would you
take up the fight?
Without you Lord,
our nation's lost,
we'd go down in
defeat.
But if you fight our
battles, Victory we
will meet.
May we as a nation,
pull together now in
prayer,
As we bow our heads
in awe, of all the
blessings that we
share.
Bless the Red Cross
workers, and the
Salvation Army too,
The policemen and
firemen, and
especially the Red,
White, and Blue.
Protect us in these
hours of danger, Let
your love cast out
all our fears,
And with your
handkerchief of
compassion, Lord
Please dry up all
our tears.
May America come
back to "In God We
Trust"
He is our only
hope, to trust Him,
is a Must!
