As you lay in your hospital bed
There's a few words that need to be said.
Though I never said it, I hope you knew
Just the way I feel about you.

A kinder neighbor, there isn't one.
You're as dependable as the sun.
Very soon you'll be back home
Just as if you were never gone.

Your pain will vanish, you'll be good as new,
Because every one is praying for you.
God loves you Lucy, and so do we,
Home is where we want you to be.
