Her Heavenly Flight

Miss Sadie has lived her life for her Lord.
She's served Him both day and night.
She's lived a hundred plus years on this earth
But soon she'll take her Heavenly Flight.

Heaven will be so much sweeter then
When on that first day she arrives.
As around the throne she takes her place
To receive her heavenly prize.

To look on the face of that one she loves
Who died to give her eternal life.
She's fought the good fight and she's made it home
Where she'll feel no more pain or strife.

So loved on this earth, but it won't compare
To the love in that place so divine.
She'll look around, see her mansion there
And say, "Jesus, Is this really mine?"

He'll tell her quickly, "I've heard all your prayers
Watched you help many along life's way.
Many years ago I started building your home
And my child you are here to stay.

So to those who love her with all of your heart
I have this one thing to say.
Though your heart is hurting to see her go
Praise God! She's with Jesus today!
