Take
Me Home
I long
to go to a place to
live
Where people know my
name
Since I left my home
in West Virginia
Life hasn't been the
same.
I've
lived in this place
for so long
And not one person
cares enough to say
Good morning to you
neighbor
Or hello, and have a
good day.
I
hardly ever see a
sincere smile
If I died no one would
care
Except my friends I
left behind
How I long to move
back there.
People
here don't know my
heart
They don't even know
my name.
The saddest part of
all of this
When I go, they won't
even know I came.
Oh
take me home to where
I know
People know my name
Where I'll see some
sincere smiles
And they'll all be
glad I came.
